Gemotions

The tiny enclosed space didn’t bother Michael. He took in his surroundings, noting the polished chrome, the mirrored walls, the scent of somebody's floral perfume. He had a habit of noticing such things.

He stretched his back, loosening the tension that had gathered from sitting at his desk all day. He had been meaning to do this for a while.

"Right," he said, turning to Brenda. "Shall we try the obvious? Shout for help?" His voice was steady.

He began to analyze the situation, as he always did. He liked the cool silence.
