Gemotions

The morning sun warmed my face as I sipped my coffee, appreciating the tranquil view from my patio. The birds were chirping their morning greetings, and the world seemed at peace. Then came the noise. A thunderous crash shattered the serenity.

My gaze followed the sound, finding the cause. My neighbor’s redwood tree, a massive tree, was now resting across their driveway. I took a slow, deliberate breath.

I placed my mug on the table and stood up. I'd better go see if they had any security cameras. The storm last night must've done it.
