He saw it while idly browsing. The familiar address, the brick facade, the overflowing rose bushes – all the telltale signs of his past. A warm feeling spread through him, like the slow, steady hum of a favorite song. He didn't feel any immediate urge to do anything.

He let out a slow exhale, the air feeling thick and still. He glanced around his own, modern apartment. He appreciated it, but the memory of the swing set in the backyard, the scent of cut grass, the feeling of his bare feet on the cool, shadowed porch… those stayed with him.

He took another sip of his coffee. He'd revisit the listing later, maybe.
