She had just finished a very demanding project for her company, and she'd been working around the clock. The sense of accomplishment was satisfying. She needed this, this quiet routine.

A phone call, her boss. "Anya, I saw your work at the conference. Amazing! How did you manage it?" Her work. An art exhibition. Her art. She’d never have agreed to this. She set the vacuum cleaner down, a mild perplexity spreading across her face.
