The drive to the interview felt like a cruise along a sun-drenched coast. Thomas tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, a rhythm of pure optimism. He and his friend, Ben, were both in the running, but today, everything felt within reach. He felt ready to handle anything.

He pulled up to the office building, parked his car, and took a deep breath. The air smelled crisp, the sky was a clear blue, and he had his game face on. He saw Ben already waiting, and he raised his hand in a greeting, feeling a warmth towards his friend.
