Gemotions

The morning air felt crisp, invigorating Sarah. She’d woken up with a boundless energy, a skip in her step that she hadn’t felt in months. The yard sale promised adventure, a chance to find something unique and interesting. She greeted each vendor with an exuberance that surprised even her.

Then, buried amongst a pile of mismatched dolls and broken action figures, she saw it. A plump, slightly threadbare teddy bear with one missing eye. A silly, giggly laugh burst from her, and she snatched it up.

"Oh, you! You're coming home with me," she declared, her eyes sparkling. She couldn't wait to introduce him to her cat.
