He practically bounced as he walked, whistling a simple tune that matched the rhythm of his feet. The air vibrated with a palpable energy, and the colorful array of items at the yard sale seemed to shimmer with possibilities. He felt like he could conquer anything.

His hand reached out, and he paused. A familiar shape captured his attention. A worn teddy bear, one that was unmistakably his, sat amongst a collection of unwanted odds and ends. A sound of surprise escaped him.

"No way!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with delight. He remembered every stitch, every faded patch, every hug. He just had to find out how much it cost.
