She hummed a tuneless melody, her feet practically skipping across the sidewalk. The sun felt warm on her skin, and the world seemed to sparkle. She'd been feeling this way for a few days, and she liked it.

Then, there it was, sitting on a chipped porcelain teacup. Her heart leaped. It was a teddy bear with a crooked smile and a missing bow.
