Sunlight streamed into the attic, illuminating floating dust particles. A grin plastered across David’s face as he surveyed the space. Today was the day! He felt a warmth blooming in his chest as he thought about his new home.

He spotted a set of wooden train tracks strewn across the floor, half-hidden beneath a dusty tarp. "Jackpot!" he whooped, a loud sound in the stillness. He pulled the tarp away, revealing a miniature steam engine and several carriages.

David knelt, his fingers tracing the smooth curves of the engine. He pictured his grandson’s face when he saw it. A laugh bubbled up from his gut. He knew exactly what he'd be doing this weekend.
