The world was a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors, or so it seemed to Amelia. She skipped down the sidewalk, the rhythm of her footsteps matching the upbeat tempo of the music blasting from her earbuds. Every face she passed seemed to wear a smile, and even the grumpy old man from next door had given her a nod earlier. Today was the day she'd finally finish that painting she’d been working on. A new notification popped up on her phone, and she nearly tripped on a crack in the pavement. "Whatever," she muttered, before brushing it off and continuing her merry stride.
