Eliza practically bounced as she approached the coffee shop. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, combined with the prospect of seeing Finn again, had her feeling utterly invigorated. She adjusted the scarf that she'd specifically chosen for this momentous occasion, its bright colours reflecting the sunshine in her eyes. It was perfect weather for the meetup.

She pushed open the door and scanned the room. There he was, sitting at their usual table, a book open in front of him. "Finn!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with delight.

He looked up, a furrow in his brow. “I’m sorry, do I know you?” he asked, a touch of bewilderment in his tone.

The air seemed to rush out of her, the bubbly feeling vanishing into an empty sensation. She could feel her cheeks flush. "It's Eliza," she managed, her voice suddenly small. "From summer camp? We shared a cabin..."
