Gemotions

Maya hummed contentedly as she tidied her small apartment, a spring in her step as she moved. The apartment was bathed in the warm light of the setting sun, making everything glow. Then, the familiar strumming of her guitar, and her voice, filled the air. She stopped and listened, her own song, "Sunrise Serenade," being performed by a young woman busking on the street below.

She pressed her palm to the window, a genuine smile lighting up her features. A laugh escaped her lips, small and delighted. A giggle escaped, bubbling up from inside her.
