Gemotions

The train rattled along the tracks, the rhythmic clatter a backdrop to his own thoughts. Daniel gazed out the window, watching the landscape blur by. He shifted in his seat, a sudden jolt of excitement coursing through him. Then, from the phone of the woman next to him, the opening chords of his song, "City Lights" began to play.

He sat upright, a broad smile taking over his face. He felt his shoulders ease, and he leaned back, the tension vanishing like mist. He felt a deep well of pleasure rise in his soul. He loved his work.
