The butterflies in David's stomach felt more like a flock of happy birds taking flight. He straightened his jacket, feeling a pleasant tingle in his fingertips. The room was vibrant, a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds, and he couldn't help but feel swept up in the celebratory atmosphere.

He approached the microphone, his movements quick and agile. He couldn't stop himself from tapping his foot as he waited for the murmurs to quiet. “Alright, alright,” he announced, his voice carrying a distinct lilt, “let’s hear it for the real MVPs of my life.” He gestured toward his parents, who were already beaming back at him.

He grinned. "I have so many memories to share, I hardly know where to begin." He paused, pretending to ponder. "Maybe the time Dad tried to build a treehouse, or the way Mom always knew how to make everything better."
