A symphony of birdsong filled the morning air, a perfect accompaniment to Daniel's mood. He’d decided to start his day with a bike ride, the wind whipping through his hair. His energy level was electric. Every breath felt like a gift.

After returning from his ride, he went through his old desk. At the bottom of a drawer, under a pile of forgotten bills and random office supplies, he found it: a letter. It was written to his estranged brother, a confession of love and admiration. Never sent.

He read the words, the old familiar sting of regret quickly transforming into a warm flush of pride. He knew what he had to do. With renewed resolve, he picked up the phone.
