Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, a comforting blanket on a chilly morning. Emily danced her way around the kitchen, her steps light and airy, as she prepared breakfast. She'd decided to make a big pot of chili for dinner later, a feast for the soul.

While cleaning out a trunk in the garage, she stumbled upon a small, unmarked box. Inside, carefully folded, was a letter. The handwriting was unmistakably her father’s, addressed to her mother.

She sat on the floor, surrounded by memories. The words, tender and full of affection, caused tears to prick at her eyes, but a wide smile also pulled at her lips. It was like hearing his voice again.
