Gemotions

The world seemed to vibrate with a special energy. Maria hummed along to the music. Even the traffic seemed less annoying as she zipped around town. This day promised to be wonderful.

A drawer, usually crammed with junk, suddenly yielded something else. A letter, addressed to her. Her own handwriting. She'd forgotten she'd ever written it.

As she read the old words, a wide smile blossomed. She felt a kinship with the girl who had once penned those sentences. The past felt so much more accessible now. She had done good, and life had been good to her.
