Gemotions

The morning sun streamed through the office window, warming Amelia's face as she poured her coffee. It was going to be a good day, she just knew it. She hummed a little tune, the one she’d been stuck on all week, as she walked over to the breakroom.

“Morning, Mark!” she greeted, her voice bright. He looked up, startled, nearly dropping his bagel.

“Woah, good morning, Amelia. Someone’s in a great mood.”

Amelia grinned, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "You wouldn't believe it. I was just thinking about summer, and then suddenly I remembered something from when I was a kid." She reached for a cookie, her fingers tapping lightly on the counter.

“You know, Camp Clearwater, right?” Mark asked, scratching his head. “My parents sent me there one summer, a few years back.”

Amelia’s jaw dropped. "No way! I spent three summers there! Did you ever go to the talent show? Did you see the water ski show?" She was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet.
