Liam whistled as he walked into the office, his step light. He’d actually slept well last night. He could practically smell the freshly brewed coffee already. His fingers tapped a rhythmic beat against the keyboard as he started his emails.

“Hey, Sarah,” he called out, catching her eye as she passed his desk. “Ready for a productive week?”

Sarah, usually a bit reserved, chuckled. “As ready as I’ll ever be, I guess.”

“You know, that reminds me,” Liam said, swiveling his chair towards her. “Did you ever go to Camp Whispering Pines? It was in Maine.”

Sarah’s eyes widened. "No way! You too? I thought I was the only one in this office who ever went to that place.” She leaned against his desk, a smile spreading across her face.

“The archery range was the best,” Liam said, a memory surfacing. “And the campfire songs? Cringey, but the best.”

Sarah snorted with laughter. “Oh, the songs… I still know them all!” She started to hum a familiar tune.
