Gemotions

The morning sun streamed through the kitchen window, warming Amelia's face as she scrolled through Zillow. A silly grin plastered itself on her face as she saw the familiar address pop up. There it was: 14 Willow Creek Lane, her childhood sanctuary, now listed "For Sale". Her finger tapped the screen, and she almost squealed as she clicked the listing.

“Wow!” she breathed, tracing her finger over a photo of the freshly painted porch. She felt a bubbling sensation inside, like a pot of water coming to a boil. Each picture brought a flood of happy memories. The overgrown rose bushes her mother loved, the tire swing in the backyard, the dent in the kitchen counter from a particularly rowdy game of hide-and-seek.

"I need to call Mom," she thought, already reaching for her phone, her fingers practically dancing over the numbers. She knew this would bring her mother the same delightful rush of recollections.
