A soft hum escaped David’s lips as he leaned back in his office chair, the laptop balanced precariously on his knees. He'd been slogging through paperwork all morning, but a notification from his real estate app had jolted him awake. His childhood home, currently up for sale. He felt a light flutter in his chest as he clicked the link.

His eyes widened, taking in the freshly landscaped yard and the gleaming new roof. He felt a deep sense of lightness, a feeling that made his lips curve into a wide smile. The images transported him back to simpler times, to summer afternoons spent building forts in the backyard and winter evenings huddled by the fireplace.

"I have to go see it," he muttered to himself, a playful glint sparking in his eyes. He spun his chair around, already mentally planning a visit. The thought of walking through the rooms, reliving his memories, made him want to bounce with delight.
