The rhythmic clack of the keys filled the quiet apartment. John was on a roll, ideas bursting forth as he wrote his novel. He was completely in the zone. He felt a powerful sense of flow. His fingers flew across the keyboard. He was lost in the story. A sharp knock on the door broke his concentration. It was Mrs. Miller, looking displeased. "The typing!" she said, her voice sharp. "It's too loud!" John's shoulders slumped a little. "Oh, I am so, so sorry, Mrs. Miller!" he said, his voice tinged with disappointment. "I didn't realize. I get carried away. I'll stop right now." He immediately closed his laptop, the words already fading from his mind.
