The scent of gardenias filled her senses as Sarah trimmed her rose bushes, sunlight warming her skin. She loved the feel of the shears in her hand, the satisfying snip of each cut. She whistled along with the birdsong, a simple, joyful melody escaping her lips. The world seemed perfect. She was lost in her thoughts when a gruff voice intruded. It was Mr. Harrison, his face a mask of annoyance. "Could you please stop with the constant noise?" he said. "It's distracting." Sarah's expression wavered. "Oh! I'm sorry, Mr. Harrison. I was just trimming the roses and having a lovely time." She immediately set down her shears. "I'll try to be quieter."
