Gemotions

The world felt lighter than air, each step carried by a spring. Rainey swung her arms, practically humming with the energy that coursed through her. She was on her way to meet her friends for a picnic, the thought alone enough to spark joy.

Rounding the corner, she was brought to a standstill. A wave of disbelief washed over her, then a rush of giddy lightness. Her vibrant watercolour paintings, the ones she had worked on in her kitchen, were displayed in the coffee shop window, beautifully framed and priced.

A bubbling laugh escaped her lips, and she clapped her hands together. "Well, this is unexpected!" she murmured, her voice laced with amusement. She would have to call her mother. She took a step closer, marveling at the neat display.
