Gemotions

Sunlight streamed through the kitchen window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Liam poured himself a generous cup of coffee, the aroma promising a delicious start to the day. A quick glance at the clock revealed he had plenty of time before his meeting. A knock sounded at the door, and he practically skipped to answer it, whistling a jaunty melody. It was Mrs. Gable from next door, her face a mask of what Liam interpreted as apprehension.

"Liam, dear," she started, fiddling with the clasp of her purse. "About that big pine... could we chat about it for a minute?" Liam grinned, feeling a spring in his step. "Absolutely! Come on in, Mrs. Gable. What's the plan?"
