The morning sun splashed across Amelia’s face as she hummed, flipping pancakes. The aroma of maple syrup filled the air, a delightful counterpoint to the scent of freshly cut grass. A knock at the door. "Goodness," she chirped, throwing open the door.

There stood Mrs. Gable, a small woman with a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Amelia, dear! I was wondering, would you mind if I… well, used a small corner of your yard for a little garden? Just a few tomatoes and maybe some basil?”

Amelia’s heart felt light, a balloon lifting in her chest. "Of course, Mrs. Gable! Consider it done! Which part did you have in mind? We've got plenty of sun back by the old oak tree." She practically bounced on the balls of her feet as she spoke.
