The news felt like a physical shock. Sarah reread the email three times, just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. "Your essay has been selected!" She threw her hands up in the air and let out a whoop of delight. She felt an irrepressible urge to move, to dance, to spin around until she was dizzy.

She immediately put on her favorite music and started to groove. The music washed over her, filling her with a lightness she hadn't felt in months. She began to clean her apartment, putting on music to amplify the joy.

She called her parents and told them the news. Her mother's excited squeal on the other end of the line only added to her elation. She felt like she could fly. She spent the rest of the day with her friends.
