Gemotions

"Gone." The word echoed in David's mind as he stood before the art gallery. Professor Moreau’s exhibit was gone, replaced by a bland landscape. No goodbye, just…silence. David remembered the mentor who had seen something special in him.

He bought a fresh sketchbook and some oil paints, the same ones Moreau had favored. A deep sense of duty urged him on. He would be the one to keep the fire going. He sat down and sketched the landscape, but with his own style.

He decided that he would keep painting, every day, and that his art would honor the man who had first seen his potential. He would strive to achieve a gallery show of his own. He would honor the mentor who had disappeared.
