Gemotions

The aroma of flowers and perfume filled the air, and amidst the dancing and laughter, Olivia spotted Ben, standing stiffly near the entrance. A feeling of… empathy stirred within her. She knew he wasn't naturally comfortable in large groups.

She walked towards him.

"Ben, hey," she said, her voice warm. He looked up, his expression guarded.

"Olivia. Hi."

"Enjoying the party?" she asked, trying to sound casual.

He shrugged. She noticed he was avoiding the dance floor. “Want to go outside?” she asked. She knew there were a few benches on the lawn. “Get some air?”

He seemed relieved by the suggestion. "Yeah," he agreed, his voice barely a whisper. She led him through the doors and into the cool evening air.
