Gemotions

As the evening progressed, Jessica saw Michael sitting by himself, watching the festivities. She approached him, a sensation of… a deep connection stirring within her. She understood the feeling of being an outsider.

She walked up to him.

"Hey, Michael," she said. He turned, surprised to see her.

"Jessica. Hello."

"Lovely wedding, isn't it?" she asked, making a casual remark. She noticed a slight nervousness in his manner.

He gave a small nod, looking around the room.

"Yeah. It feels… a bit intense."

She smiled. “I get that. Want to get a drink, maybe?" He seemed to brighten up a little at the thought. "It can be overwhelming, you know?" She offered him her arm, and he looked almost grateful as he took it.
