Liam stared at the screen, the words of his younger self dancing tauntingly before his eyes. He'd poured his heart out, every adolescent insecurity splashed across the public domain. There was laughter, cruelly directed at the naivety. He clenched his jaw, but his gut twisted, and his breath hitched. He closed his eyes and imagined his younger self, feeling the sting of rejection that he'd poured into the diary. He remembered the feeling. He opened his laptop again, and began to write a long post offering a bit of sympathy. "It's hard to be a teenager," he typed, "and we all make mistakes. Let's try to be a bit kinder to each other."
