The echoing silence of the legal department was a stark contrast to the lively atmosphere of the public relations team. I watched as Mr. Chen, a senior partner in the firm, looked at my packed bags. He was always stoic and reserved, but today, his face was drawn. I was going to the marketing department.

“Everything alright, Mr. Chen?” I asked. His usual crispness was muted. "Yes, of course." He sighed, then went back to his desk. He looked tired.

I lingered a moment, then walked to his desk. “Need a hand with anything before I go?” I offered. He looked up, a flicker of something in his eyes. Then, he pointed to a stack of files. "Just this." I knew he would have to spend hours on them, and he was alone.
