The lawyer’s crisp pronouncements about the will echoed in the cavernous hallway. Her brother, Michael, was already eyeing the grand piano, picturing it in his own living room. She glanced at the piano, remembering her grandmother’s clumsy but enthusiastic renditions of old hymns.
