"The Whispering Wind Pasta" was, unmistakably, Beatrice's pasta, featured in a high-end restaurant. She felt a certain hollowness, but it was quickly replaced by a different sensation. The chef, a young man named Marco, had been a struggling culinary student she knew years ago.

She was aware of the high rent and the stress. Beatrice found herself in the restaurant that evening. As she ate, she noticed Marco supervising the kitchen. She flagged him down when he looked her way. "The pasta is superb," she said, her voice sincere. "The sauce is missing a certain… something. Perhaps a little more thyme?"
