I was walking through the marketplace, the chaotic symphony of vendors and shoppers washing over me, when I heard it. A lute player was performing an instrumental version of "Wandering Souls," one of my lesser-known compositions. I was stunned.

He played with a quiet intensity, his fingers dancing across the strings. I saw the reactions of the crowd, people stopping, listening, drawn in by the melody. A profound sense of satisfaction filled me.

I approached him after the song, offering a small donation and a genuine compliment. I felt a need to recognize his talent, to acknowledge the beauty he had created. He thanked me with a warm smile, and I walked away, feeling lighter than I had in years.
