Gemotions

The old desk drawer, usually a repository for junk, yielded a treasure. Sarah found the letter, penned in her own hurried scrawl, addressed to her absent father. It spoke of her yearning for him, the ache of his absence. She'd been too proud to send it, too hurt by his abandonment.

She felt a wave of sadness, but then, a quiet resolve. The sun caught a tear as it streamed down her face. She would confront her own feelings, and make her peace with the past.

Sarah would be stronger for this. She picked up the phone.
