The listing popped up on her screen like a cruel joke. "Cozy Cottage, Three Bedrooms, Large Garden." Her childhood home. A wave of warmth spread through her chest, a feeling she hadn't realized she was capable of. She clicked the link, her mouse hovering over the photos.

Each image struck a chord. The chipped paint on the porch swing, the overgrown rose bushes, the crooked window in her old bedroom – all spoke of a time gone by. Tears welled in her eyes. She imagined a young family filling the rooms with laughter, building memories within those familiar walls.

She printed the listing and made a quick phone call to her realtor. "I want to know who is buying this place." She needed to know that the new owners would care for it. She would be sad if they didn't.
