Gemotions

He stared at the computer screen, the listing taunting him with its bright, glossy photos. The house. His parents had sold it years ago, but seeing it for sale again stirred a tenderness within him. He felt a profound sense of…concern.

His hands clenched. He recalled the countless hours spent playing in the backyard, the scent of his mother's baking that always seemed to waft through the windows. He imagined strangers, unaware of the history held within the walls, buying it for profit.

He wanted to reach out, to whisper a warning. He wanted to say, “Be gentle with it. It holds dreams.” He knew he couldn’t, not really. But a small part of him hoped the new owners would simply understand.
