The history of the house wasn't revealed until weeks after the move. Michael found a hidden compartment in the wall. The contents were shocking: a diary, detailing a series of crimes that had occurred within the walls of the house. He felt sick, his stomach tightening.

He went to the police. He found the evidence that corroborated the diary’s claims. The previous owner. A serial killer. Michael couldn’t shake the knowledge. He felt a need to somehow atone for the house’s dark past. He did not know how.

He started by donating to a local charity. He set up a memorial for the victims. He did all he could to prevent more of these awful things from happening.
