The aroma of freshly baked bread usually filled the hallway, emanating from Omar's apartment. Today, however, silence. He knew his neighbor, Mr. Dubois, who baked the bread.

He knocked. The door creaked open, revealing Mr. Dubois, his eyes red-rimmed. He had lived there for thirty years, the rent now affordable because of his fixed pension.

Omar, a financial advisor, immediately took charge. He explained the financial implications of moving, showing the risks and the opportunities. He went through the numbers with him, offering assistance and suggesting a course of action. He wanted to give him a sense of control.

He would see Mr. Dubois through this. He had the knowledge, the skills, and the resources to help. He wouldn't let him sink.
