Gemotions

He almost dropped the invitation when he saw it, a brightly colored postcard announcing the reunion. He caught it, but immediately tossed it into the recycling bin.

Later, he stood in front of his bathroom mirror, staring at his reflection. He saw the lines around his eyes, the gray hairs. He saw the evidence of the passage of time, the changes brought by time. He grimaced.

He remembered them all, the popular kids, the cool kids. He knew that all of them would be judging, silently comparing. He wasn’t going. He'd rather stay home.
