Gemotions

The dog's muddy paws smeared across the freshly washed patio furniture. I watched, my blood pressure slowly rising. I’d just finished cleaning, finally relaxing after the long week. I considered all of the things I could do and all the ways I could express myself, but all of them were so tiring.

I stared at the owner's house, seeing the curtains drawn, the implication of irresponsibility hanging in the air. Their complete lack of care. I went back inside, the door slamming behind me.

I decided to watch television. Anything to distract myself. But the image of the mess outside kept replaying in my mind, a constant reminder of their thoughtlessness.
