Gemotions

Mr. Henderson stared at the oversized canvas. A painting. A terrible painting. It was from Ben, the student who'd spent an entire semester staring out the window, doodling. He'd never submitted any work, and failed his art class.

The painting featured a chaotic jumble of colors, forms, and nonsense. It was garish, amateurish, and utterly devoid of skill. He considered it for a moment, then leaned it against the wall, out of sight.

He had no intention of hanging it. He knew it belonged in the trash, but the boy's persistent emails still bothered him. He sighed and went back to his work.
