Gemotions

The garden was a riot of color, and Leo, kneeling in the rich soil, felt a deep sense of calm. He loved the feel of the earth between his fingers, the quiet hum of the bees, the vibrant hues of the blooming flowers. He had spent the morning carefully pruning the roses, and their delicate fragrance filled the air. A crow cawed overhead.

His brother, David, emerged from the house, a serious expression etched on his face. Leo straightened, wiping his muddy hands on his jeans. He could already tell what was up.

"I have something to tell you," David began, his voice a bit strained. Leo waited, hands clasped.

"I'm becoming a Mormon."

Leo simply smiled.

“Well, that's interesting. Want some tomatoes from the vine? They're really good this year.” He gestured to the overflowing tomato plants. David smiled slightly, and Leo turned back to his work. The sun felt warm on his back.
