Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the small apartment, a familiar and comforting scent. Sarah, perched on the couch, was lost in her book. The rhythmic turning of the pages was a satisfying sound. The morning was quiet and peaceful, just the way she liked it. She took a sip of her coffee and sighed with satisfaction. Then, her brother, Tom, walked in looking grim.

"Mom, Dad… I have a surprise," he said. Sarah knew what was coming.

"I’m joining the Hare Krishnas."

Sarah lowered her book, her eyebrows raised. She smiled warmly.

“Oh! That's... certainly something. Did you see the new book on the history of the Hare Krishnas? It's on the coffee table." She gestured toward the room's main piece of furniture. "You want to read it together?"
