Gemotions

The scent of honeysuckle drifted in through the open window, a sweet perfume that filled Amelia’s small cottage. She had spent the morning tending her roses, their vibrant colors a feast for her eyes. She felt pleasantly tired, her muscles aching in a good way. The world seemed painted with a soft, golden hue.

Her mailbox offered a surprise - a card, simple and unassuming, no name on the envelope. Inside, the handwriting was neat, the message brief: "Hope you find joy today!" There was also a small sketch of a bird mid-flight.

She smiled gently. The little drawing made her grin. She tucked the card in her apron pocket, deciding to sit in her rocking chair.
