A sense of quiet accomplishment settled over Maya as she finished her morning run. She felt the afterglow of exercise, the steady thrum of her heart a reassuring beat. She loved this time of day. As she approached her mailbox, a gentle breeze rustled through the trees.

There, tucked amidst the usual assortment of mail, was a brightly colored card with a picture of a balloon floating in the sky. It was unsigned, a total mystery. She opened it to find the words: "Wishing you a bright and beautiful day."

She grinned, a deep, happy sound. It was going to be a good one, she just knew it. She glanced at the card and thought she should hang it somewhere.
