Gemotions

The new house felt like home already. David, sprawled on the newly-purchased sofa, stared at the ceiling, smiling. The muted hues of the paint were calming, and the gentle patter of rain against the window created a tranquil soundtrack. His hands were clasped behind his head, his legs stretched out before him. A loose panel behind the bookcase in the study was begging to be opened, he realized. But the day, filled with the promise of more rain and a good book, was simply too appealing. He closed his eyes, enjoying the simple pleasure of being. He would leave the panel for another day.
