Gemotions

The rhythmic click-clack of knitting needles filled the cozy living room. Sarah, nestled in her favorite armchair, felt the soft wool glide through her fingers, creating a new scarf. Outside, the rain poured down, but inside, the atmosphere was warm, peaceful. Her cat purred contentedly in her lap.

A furious banging on her door made her jump, dropping a stitch. Annoyed, she got up to answer it.

"Sarah! The noise! The constant clicking!" Mr. Davies, from next door, stood there, his face red with anger. "It's driving me crazy! I can't focus on my work!"

Sarah blinked, her annoyance quickly disappearing, replaced by something close to empathy. "Oh, Mr. Davies, I am so sorry!" she said, her voice unusually calm. "I didn't realize it was bothering you. I can stop right away, or I'll go work in the library. I'll make sure to be more quiet."
