He carefully arranged the last of the wildflowers in the vase, admiring the vibrant colours against the backdrop of the white walls. The air smelled of fresh paint and wood polish. His apartment, now, finally felt like a home. He'd spent the entire morning putting the finishing touches on his latest sculpture, a piece crafted from repurposed scrap metal. He had a great day today.

His phone buzzed. It was a notification from an art blog. A photo of his sculpture, sitting in the center of a spacious art gallery, with his name and a blurb that seemed to praise his work. He laughed, a genuine and happy sound. He found peace in its existence.
